Mabel is the female playable character of the Raycaster class in end.earth. Her attribute is wind. Mabel's default (preferred) weaponry is a staff and spellbook.

BackgroundEdit

Author of over 120 books (not including co-authorships), Mabel is a magic researcher/writer extraordinaire, specializing in ancient artifacts and vyrmm. She resides in a modest shack in the hills near Sejenis, which is filled with books, papers, and magical objects. Prior to being recruited to resolve the Metis Crisis, she had discovered a lost shrine to Soal on an archeological dig. She is left-handed.

Due to a higher MAG stat than Jonas, Mabel is better suited for dealing damage rather than playing a supportive role. She is tied with Samuel for the lowest END and tied with Martin for lowest DEF, making her incredibly susceptible to physical damage. In an ideal situation, Mabel will never receive a hit, be buffed to maximize her spell power, and be raining down a steady stream of magical damage on the enemy.

PairingsEdit

She pairs very well with John, who is not only good at guarding, but also shares the wind attribute, giving Mabel offensive synergy boosts (as well as a defense boost, for what it's worth). Mabel also pairs well with infighters, who can not only guard effectively, but also use buff skills to bolster her already high MAG stat. A dimensionist can also summon creatures to guard almost indefinitely, but that leaves another character that may need guarding.

CountersEdit

A natural-born glass cannon, Mabel will be guarded. An infighter is a huge threat to Mabel because they can attack through guards. The infighter must be careful, though, as Mabel only ties in natural speed with Bruce (the slower of the two), and must find a way to gain an additional 10 speed to tie with Jill. Infighters lack RES, meaning several things. Spell Lock will prevent the infighter from attacking with skills, Decimate can burn and half their STR, or a Mana Barrier can be put in place. To handle Mabel before these things are put into place, the infighter's focus board will need to specialize in more ASP than Mabel's. The Falcon Anklet and Noar's Moonlight are both good accessory choices. The later is risky, however, as Mabel may be carrying Soal's Sunlight.
