Status Effect
Status effects are a special kind of debuff that can persist indefinitely, until healed by items, spells, resting, or when other special conditions are met.

Elemental Status Effects
Edit
Burn
Edit
When a character is burned, their STR and DEF stats are halved, and they become weak to ice attacks (including an increased likelihood of becoming chilled). This status condition is associated with the fire element. Burns can be removed by receiving ice damage, or by certain healing potions, spells, or accessories. A character cannot be burned and chilled at the same time.
Chill
Edit
Characters that are chilled experience halved MAG and RES stats, and they become weak to fire-based attacks (including an increased chance of becoming burned). This status condition is associated with the ice element. Chill is cured by receiving fire damage, or by using certain healing potions, spells, or accessories. A character cannot be chilled and burned at the same time.
Squint
Edit
While squinting, characters experience a halved AGI stat. This applies to ASP, ACC, and AVO. Squint is associated with the wind element, but can also be caused by sudden bright light. Squinting is removed after a short period of time, or by certain healing potions, spells, and accessories.
Shocked
Edit
Shocked characters have a chance of losing their next action. It wears off after several turns, or after losing two successive turns to being shocked.
Other Status Effects
Edit
Poison
Edit
Poisoned characters take 5% of their maximum health after doing any action. It has a chance of being removed while resting.
Curse
Edit
A cursed character's maximum HP and MP are reduced by 10% at the end of every round until they die, or the source of the curse is defeated.
Revival Sickness
Edit
When characters are brought back to life from the dead in the heat of combat, they gain Revival Sickness. While afflicted, all of the character's stats are halved. The sickness is removed at the end of the battle, or by resting for a turn.
Invincible
Edit
Characters that are invincible do not take damage from any source. Invincibility lasts for only one round.
Breathless
Edit
Characters that are out of breath attack last, regardless of their ASP. Breathless characters do not recover health passively, and any healing effects of skills are halved. Breathlessness is removed by a turn of inaction, or at the end of a battle.
Serious Status Effects
Edit
Raycasters have the ability to worsen status effects into serious effects. For the most part, a serious effect is a more powerful version of a given condition.
Ignited
Edit
Ignition is a serious burn. In addition to experiencing halved STR and DEF, an ignited character also takes damage over time equal to 10% of their maximum health. Ignition decays into Burn status after 3 turns, or until ice damage is received. An ignited character is not weak to Ice damage.
Frozen
Edit
Freezing is a serious chill. A frozen character not only has halved MAG and RES, they also experience halved AGI. Frozen characters are not weak to fire as they are in chill status, but rather thaw into Chill status after receiving fire damage, or after 3 turns.
Blinded
Edit
Blind characters cannot see, and may attack targets other than the ones you intend (including allies). Fortunately they experience halved accuracy, so they may miss swings at your friends. Unlike Ignition and Freezing, blindness does not decay into squint. It lasts three turns.
Stunned
Edit
Stun is a serious shock. A stunned character loses their next action. While it is associated with the shock element, stunning can also be caused by blunt physical damage. Like blindness, it does not decay into a lesser status effect, and is removed after the turn of inaction it generates. Unlike normal inaction, characters that are stunned do not passively heal.
