Tera (pronounced tair-ah) is the earthen energy force that adepts manipulate to perform their magic. It naturally flows through deposits of illuminite in the soil, until an adept taps into it and stores it in their gloves or gauntlets.

Tera, when used in combat, can act as kinetic or light energy. It is the opposite of Elmaea, the energy of the air.
